Prents, Lena
Born in Minsk, Byelorussia, in 1972, Lena Prents studied German and English philology there, from 1989 to 1994; between 1994 and 2000 she studied German and art history in Berlin. Lena Prents has worked for the German Guggenheim in Berlin and completed an internship at the Bauhaus Museum in Weimar. She received a stipend for young curators from the Cultural Foundation of the Land of Saxony to work at the Gallery for Contemporary Art in Leipzig. Most recently she was project assistant for “Heimat Moderne” (Modern Homeland) in Leipzig. Her main fields of work are the history of architecture and design, contemporary art, and the art and cinema of Eastern Europe.
