Blecking, Dr. Diethelm
Diethelm Blecking was born in 1948 in Rees on the lower Rhine. He studied history, sports, and philosophy in Münster (Germany) and Poznań (Poland). He earned his doctorate at the Freie Universität Berlin and his “Habilitation” at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. Diethelm Blecking is “Privatdozent” at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg/Breisgau and professor at the Akademia Wychowania Fizycznego in Poznań. His publications span the areas of history of sport, sport and migration, and sport and literature. He also writes political essays and travel essays.
In addition, Diethelm Blecking works as an author for the radio (artistic, literary contributions for Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Kultur, SWR, NDR).
